The Gary and Christine Rood Family Pavilion is a state-of-the-art guest house located on the campus of Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon. This 11-story building, designed by ZGF Architects and constructed by Hoffman Construction, serves as a home away from home for families of patients undergoing treatment at OHSU and Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.

Key Features:

Guest Rooms: The pavilion includes 76 guest rooms, providing a comfortable and private space for families to stay while their loved ones receive medical care.

Community Kitchen: A fully equipped kitchen allows families to prepare home-cooked meals, fostering a sense of normalcy and togetherness.

Children’s Park: A rooftop playground offers a safe and beautiful outdoor space for children to play and enjoy sweeping views of the city.

Healing Garden: The George and Janet Boldt Healing Garden provides a tranquil retreat for adults to relax, de-stress, and enjoy fresh air.

Teen Room: A dedicated space for teenagers to socialize and unwind, equipped with games and entertainment options.

Laundry Facilities: On-site laundry rooms ensure that families have access to essential amenities.

Fitness Room: A fitness room is available for guests to maintain their physical well-being during their stay.

Lounges: Comfortable lounges offer spaces for relaxation and socializing, helping families connect with others in similar situations.
